Residence, curate and lecturer: There is no Parsonage-house belonging to this Rectory. I reside within the City, at a house situated conveniently for the Duty of the Cure, which I perform in person without the assistance of any Curate or Lecturer.
Other benefices: I hold the vicarage of Broadhembury, by a dispensation.
Divine service at other churches: I officiate at the Bridewell in St. Thomas's Parish by appointment of the Justices for the County of Devon.
Frequency of divine service: Divine Service is perform'd <once> every Tuesday & Friday; & every Holiday throughout the year; and twice on ye Lord's day, with a Sermon both in ye morning & afternoon.
Frequency of communion: The Lord's supper is administred on ye 4th Sunday of every month & on Christmas Day, Easter Day & Whitsunday. I have never known the No. of Communicants at one time, exceed one hundred & ten. The No. of Individuals who communicate once at least in the Course of ye year is about one hundred & thirty.
Catechising of children: As there is always an afternoon sermon it has not been customary to catechise in this Church oftner than twice in ye year, when Sermons are preach'd for the Benefit of the Charity Schools. And on a few Sundays previous to every Confirmation, immediately after divine Service.
Church fabric: We have no Church-yard. The Church & Chancel are in good Repair, & all things decent for divine Service.
Number of families: About three years since, we had 379 Families, containing 1076 Souls, who partook of the Charity of a public Collect[io]n. It is probable that these make up more than half the no. of Families in the parish, but not of Individuals, on account of the no. of servants, in Families above Charity. If your Lordship should desire a more Exact Estimate, it shall be immediately taken.
Papists, dissenters and meeting houses: There are about a dozen reputed papists; and two meeting-houses for Dissenting Congregations, one said to be methodist, the other anabaptist. But the reputed founder of the former sometimes officiates at ye latter, if I have been rightly inform'd. The Teacher said to be licensed to the first is called - Tanner; to the other, - Francis.

Since <my> writing the Answer to the 11th Query, I have been inform'd that a Conventicle is held within this parish in a private House; the Teacher's name - Gidley - (an Exciseman). But of what Denomination <as to religious Tenets> I cannot learn.
School, alms-houses, hospital and charitable endowments: We have an Alms-house which is kept properly filled up by the Mayor & Chamber. We have also several charitable Donations for Bread &c. to ye Poor, which are express'd in Tables fixed to the walls of the church, & appear to be duly managed. We have no parochial Library, nor School.
Charity: The Donations above mention'd are charged on Lands & Tenements; & some other Estates are vested in Trustees for ye use of the Parish, the Income of which I believe to be duly applied.
